Kelley school of business - Indiana University
Indiana, USAThe Global Business Institute (GBI) program is a four-week intensive and immersive residential summer program at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington. The goal of the program is to encourage youth from the Middle East, North Africa, and near Asia regions to expand their business knowledge and participate in entrepreneurial endeavors in their home countries, which includes starting their own businesses. Students complete an academically rigorous business curriculum with a focus on American entrepreneurial practices to develop the tools to ultimately create their own business plans. Classroom sessions are accompanied by interactive and cultural activities such as visits to American companies and interacting with entrepreneurs on guest panels. The business curriculum concludes with a capstone project in which students create a feasibility study in teams of 4-5 to present to panels of Kelley faculty and Indiana entrepreneurs. The program culminates with final presentations to government officials in Washington, D.C. and a meeting with executives of the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, GA.
